FOW Armor takes too long
Material amounts need to be cutdown for FOW armor. This is unfair for the people who have to try to get it now. Think about the people who got their FOW when you could make 100 plat an hour. Why should new people have to Grind and Grind, when the old people had an unfair Pre-nerf advantage. I have a job, cant grind 8 hours a day just to get it. Why should we further encourage people to buy plat online? Im not saying it should be easy but I didnt think this game was about grinding. Your thoughts anyone?

FoW doesn't give you any gameplay advantage. Henceforth, the high cost is justified.
(Yeesh, the dead horses are getting whuuped recently. How long until Nightfall? )

Designed behavior, GW is mostly a daycare center so they need to keep the kiddies occupied.

This game IS no grind for perfect items. You can get max items for a few K's. It DOES take grind to get the rarest armor in the game.

But when old players were making 100k per hour to get it, they got it alot faster. ANET left newer players at a disadvantage. Why should new players be denied that part of the game that they paid for?

Because it's not nessasary.
You can get the same Stats that you get from FoW armor from 1.5 K armor over at Droks.
The diffrence? Looks. Nothing more.
Basiclly it's like buying a fancy car, it works just as good as any other car. It just looks nicer and is more expensive.
Also why can't newer players grind out 100k an hour like old players?

The whole point of the armor is to show off your wealth. If you can't afford the armor, then you can't show it off.

"Too long" is a subjective judgment, not an objective one. Each player has to decide on their own what precisely "too long" is, and if they mark something as "too long" they'll probably move on to other things. Personally, I've decided that getting faction point titles would take too long, and while I could potentially farm faction even when Nightfall is out I choose not to. The question of getting FOW armor is likewise one of personal choice since the FOW armor has no game-mechanical advantage over any other.

Most people don't go for things that take too long to get because they want to enjoy the game rather than grind. You're complaining that FOW armor takes too long to get but you're still trying to get it. If you want it, there is no such thing as "too long." You have to deal with the grind because you're not going to suddenly obtain it faster.
(OMG grind in GW?! Blasphemy! Kill thread!)

quit whineing already.
if it is too much work to get dont get it.
if it is worth it to you do it and stop complaining as you made the choice to get it.
too hard?.....then get 15k armor for your characters
still too hard?.........get 1.5k for them

My view on FOW armor always was that it was supposed to incredibly hard to get. It was supposed to take a long, long time. It is pretty much the ultimate material accomplishment for pve players so one would expect it to live up to its reputation. However, I realize that for many players trying to get FOW is probably really boring. I could never do it. Luckily, there is a solution! 15k armor is also cool looking and many people respect it almost as much as FOW (at least I do). Why don't you set 15k as your new goal?

The older players no longer have that advantage.. I have an idea though: Go make 100k, invest that 100k into several godly items that you find for cheap, and resell. I went from 0-1000k in a week playing like this and that took place a month ago.

Wow, what a whiner. If Anet was to change FoW to total 100k in costs, Energizer Deth Buni what would you whine about next? Let me guess, "Creating a new character in Nightfall takes too long! There are too many choices too make..do I want brown or grey hair...tall or short..<sigh>"
+1000k for the rarest armor is fine the way it is. Go buy several sets of 15k instead. You will have a more flexible character.

Bingo! If you can't afford it, don't buy it. If having 1000k and 100k on all characters is annoying you, and you need a gold sink..

ectos were still above 10k when i bought last FoW part for my ele... so by my standards FoW armor became ridicilously easy to get, which lowers the value of work I have put into it. Now you say lets make it even chaper... No, lets not.

I like being amazed when I walk into ToA at a person standing infront of me in FoW armor, and I bet he felt good about himself, he put alot of work into it and is satisfied, why ruin it for them?
Life is about setting accomplishments, to enjoy the satisfaction when they're completed, it wouldn't be as sastifying if it was easier and if 20 more people were in it.

To the OP: I agree completely. FoW armor is nothing but encouragement for farming bots, scams, ebay gold buying, and obese people who sit an their *** all day. But, with what ANet did with skills recently I wouldn't be surprised if they, too, ended up selling FoW for real life money.

I have a job, go to college, and I take martial arts classes on the weekends, and I still was able to get FoW armor playing the game normaly
Assumptions make an ass out of just you
to the OP, well if you want FoW armor so bad, then slowly build up the materials and such, if you want it so badly you will work for it, if not, to bad. You dont go complaining to the Ferarri dealer cause their cars are to expensive do you?
